THANK YOU NOTE FROM A STUDENT

Thankyou Note From A Student Graduating From HSK 3

.

Dear Claire Laoshi

.
Please accept this as a small expression of my gratitude for introducing
me to the beautiful language of Mandarin chinese.
When I first visited China, I knew I wanted to learn Mandarin chinese. I did not
know, however, that in the process I would get to know amazing people
like you, Nancy laoshi, Deviyani and the other students at MeiYu. What
started as a weekend class has now become like a home to me: a place I
eagerly wait to come to every week.

.
And now that our course draws to a close, I am overcome with a strong
sense of nostalgia: from doing calligraphy to making dumplings, from
doing serious presentations to making stupid jokes in class, from eating
hot-pot to chicken-wings’ cakes: studying at MeiYu has been more than
about just learning Mandarin chinese language. It has been about learning
while having fun, which one could say is the best kind of learning. I will carry
a lot of memories from my time here, and I will cherish them forever!
Most of my life so far has been that of a student. In this time, I have
learnt many subjects from many different teachers. But I have really
never enjoyed studying any subject as much as I have enjoyed learning
Mandarin chinese language from you. Students generally want to avoid going to their
chinese language classes. But your classes are very different from others.
You are always smiling, always energetic and passionate, always so encouraging
and eager to help, and you just seem to enjoy teaching so much that each
mandarin class becomes a unique experience in itself. In your case, students want
to come to class and learn, and that speaks volumes about the teacher.
Thank you for having taught us: I am very lucky to have you as a
teacher.

.
Finally, I also want to extend my apologies to you. I know that in the
last few months, I have not given my studies as much time as I should
have. I do not mean any disrespect by not completing the workbooks or by
not practising the written characters. It’s just that  in the last few
months, we have added several new verticals to our business and work is
keeping me very busy. Each day at work starts very early and ends very
late, and there genuinely is no time for anything else. Once things are
a little normal again, I will revise all the coursework from the 3
levels and also appear for the HSK exam. I hope you understand.
Thank you, once again, for everything!
Best
