Registration/Admission:
1.1 Registration before joining any course is mandatory. MeiYu Chinese Language Centre requires each student to complete the registration form either online or offline and submit it to MeiYu Chinese Language Centre with one government ID proof.
1.2 Admission shall be granted only upon full payment of fees before the start of the course.
Fees:
2.1 Once the fee is deposited, it will not be refunded, transferred, or adjusted in any other account or batch. For more details please read our refund policy here.
Attendance (Online Classes):
3.1 Attendance shall be taken in every online class. If a student fails to attend at least 80% of the total online classes, he/she shall not be eligible to receive a certificate of completion.
Attendance (In-person Classes):
3.2 Attendance shall be taken in every in-person class. If a student is absent for a total of more than 8 hours out of 67 class hours and 10 hours out of 30 hours in the library, they will not be eligible to progress to the next level of the course.
Student Behaviour:
4.1 It is expected that students should maintain decorum in class. Any behaviour deemed to be rude and/or undesirable towards the management, teachers, and/or staff of MeiYu Chinese Language Centre during class hours and/or otherwise may result in termination of association with MeiYu Chinese Language Centre and may attract stricter measures as deemed fit by the management.
4.2 Students are not allowed to contact any teacher directly on the phone. Any communication with the teacher beyond class hours shall be through his/her official MeiYu Chinese Language Centre email ID or at the centre.
Proficiency/Examination/Certification:
5.1 MeiYu Chinese Language Centre does not guarantee that every student will attain the same proficiency in Mandarin. We encourage students to take on extra work for their own benefit and discourage excessive absences.
5.2 For online class students will be graded based on attendance, tests, and assignment submissions.
The weightage is as follows:
- 40% Attendance
- 30% Examination
- 30% Assignment submission.
- The passing mark for each examination is 60%. Students not taking these examinations shall not be eligible to receive a certificate.
5.3 For in-person students will be graded based on attendance, final test, and assignment submissions.

- 40% Attendance
- 30% Examination
- 30% Assignment submission.
- The passing marks for the final examination is 70%. Students not taking this examination shall not be eligible to receive a certificate.
Internet Connection (Online Classes):
6. As it is an online class, please ensure you have a stable internet connection before enrolling for the classes.
Content:
7. All PPT, handouts, photographs, videos of classes, and materials submitted by the teachers and students are the property of MeiYu Chinese Language Centre. MeiYu Chinese Language Centre reserves the right to use such material on its website, posters, brochures, advertisements, press releases, social media, etc., for promotional purposes.
Placements:
8. While MeiYu Chinese Language Centre encourages students to pursue careers after gaining proficiency in Mandarin and organizes on and off-campus placement drives, we do not guarantee 100% successful placement. Placement opportunities will depend on the student’s performance during the classes and the interview conducted by companies. MeiYu Chinese Language Centre does not charge any fee from either the students or the companies for the placement. Pursuing a job after getting selected is solely the student’s choice, and MeiYu Chinese Language Centre bears no responsibility for the same.
