1. INTERNET CONNECTION
As it is an online class please make sure you have a stable internet connection before enrolling for the classes.
2. FEES
Once the fee is deposited, it will not be refunded, transferred or adjusted in any other account. If a student leaves the course in the mid-term, he/she will be liable to pay the balance of the fee for the whole course.
3. ATTENDANCE
Attendance shall be taken in every class. If a student fails to attend at least 80% of the total classes, he shall not be eligible to receive a certificate of completion.
4. CLASS VIDEOS
The students will be allowed to avail the class recordings in case they miss a class given that they inform the teacher before or by the time the class begins of their absence. As only 2 classes are allowed to be missed as per the attendance requirement, a student can avail upto 2 recordings per term. Anymore than that will have to be paid for.
5. STUDENT BEHAVIOUR
It is expected that students should maintain decorum in the online class. Meiyu authority has the right to block any person using obscene gesture or language during the class and to cancel their admission respectively. Kindly refrain your house members from interrupting the class. Incase it isn’t possible the teacher has the right to mute the student to avoid disturbing the class. Any communication with the teacher beyond class hours shall be through his/her official MeiYu Chinese Language Centre mail ID or via the whatsapp group for class created.
6. PROFICIENCY / TEST/ SCHOLARSHIP/ CERTIFICATION
MeiYu Chinese Language Centre does not guarantee that every student will attain the same proficiency in Mandarin. We encourage students to take on extra work for their own benefit and dissuade students from missing too many classes. The students will be graded based on the oral test and assignment submission. The weightage is as following: 60% oral test 40% assignment submission. The passing marks for each examination is 60% after which the student will be eligible to collect the certificate and progress to the next level. Students not taking these examinations shall not be eligible to get a certificate.
7. CONTENT
All PPT, handouts, photographs, videos of classes, material submitted by the teachers and students are the property of MeiYu Chinese Language Centre and MeiYu Chinese Language Centre reserves the right to use such material in their website, posters, brochures, advertisements, press releases, social media etc., for promotional purpose.
8. PLACEMENTS
While MeiYu Chinese Language Centre encourages students to pursue careers after gaining proficiency in Mandarin and organises on and off campus placement drives for the same, we do not guarantee a 100% successful placement. The placement will purely depend on the performance of the student during the classes and the interview conducted by the companies.
We do not charge a fee from either the students or the companies for the placement so to pursue a certain job after getting selected is solely the student’s choice and we bear no responsibility for the same. Please copy the following statement in the email to confirm your registration.
DECLARATION
I have received the copy of the Online Class Rules and Regulations from MeiYu Chinese Language Centre for the course I have joined through e-mail . I have read and understood these Rules and Regulations and agree to abide by the same, during my association with MeiYu Chinese Language Centre. I understand that the rules and regulations are legally enforceable. For any legal
disputes/purpose this agreement shall be considered to have been signed in Delhi and any legal proceeding arising out of this shall be subject to Delhi jurisdiction only.
