Today we will learn how to use “刚” along with its different
structures. “刚” is used to indicate that an action or a situation
took place just now or only a while ago.
Grammar Structure:
➡ 刚/刚刚+V
“刚” is used after the subject and before the verb.this structure
means that the action just happened a short time ago.
In this pattern 刚 and 刚刚 are interchangeable.“刚” means
short time refers to the speaker’s feelings. In this pattern there’s
no need to use “了”
Examples:
1. 我刚刚给她打电话。
2. 妈妈刚告诉我,出门别忘了买些水果。
3. 这是我刚买的新手机。
4. 我刚到法国。
5. 朋友告诉我,我的小狗才刚满三个月。但是我觉得它刚出生。
➡ 刚+v+duration word
This structure indicates the action just happened , the verb can
be followed by a duration word.
Examples:
1. 张经理刚到办公室一个小时。
2. 我三天前刚到印度。
3. 我是新来的,刚来一个月。
4. 我已经来韩国三年了,但我总觉得我刚来。
5. 我怎么又觉得饿了,不是才刚吃晚饭吗?

“刚才” means several minutes ago, not very long time ago. “刚
才” can be used before the verb or at the beginning of the
sentence.
Examples:
1. 刚才我收到了我学生的短信。
2. 她刚才睡着了。
3. 大卫刚才去了餐厅吃午饭。
4. A: 喂,王老师在家吗?
B: 不好意思,他刚才出去了。
5. 刚才小明给我一个礼物。
