Mastering HSK 4 Grammar: Using 不仅…也/还/而 且…
Today, we will learn how to use the structure “不仅…也/还/而且…”
an essential part of HSK 4 grammar. Conj. “不仅” is used in the first
clause, followed by “也/还/而且” on the second clause which
indicates a further meaning in addition to first clause. Simply
meaning “ not only… but also…” .
Grammar Structure:
不仅…也/还/而且…
不仅 is used after the subject when both clauses have same
subject, and 不仅 used before the first subject when both clauses
have different subjects.
Examples:
1. 这朵花不仅很大也很漂亮。
2. 那家饭馆的意大利面不仅很有名还很好吃。
3. 不仅张明很聪明而且王花也很聪明。
4. 她汉语说的不仅对还很清楚。
5. 我做的饭不仅很健康而且还很好吃。
