Grammar Structure
v1 + 了 + 就 + v2 …
This structure clearly connects two actions, emphasizing that the second action follows immediately after the first.
Examples
1. 写了作业就去玩儿。(After doing my homework, I will go play.)
2. 她回到了家就用手机。(She uses her mobile phone after she
gets home.)
3. 他到了公司我就离开。(After he arrives at the company, I
leave.)
4. 我吃了饭就洗碗。(I wash the dishes after eating.)
5. 等老师回来了我就问她。(I will ask the teacher when she
comes back.)
Exceptions
In sentences with two subjects, the second subject should be placed right before “就.”
Example:
妈妈回到了家我就给她礼物。(When my mom gets home, I will give her a gift.)
