Mastering HSK 2 Grammar: using 虽然…,但
是
Today we will learn about the grammar structure of HSK-2
chapter-14. In this structure we will learn how to form sentences
which indicate an adversative relation if the sentences. The
structure is used to form sentences which mean ‘even though/
although’.
Grammar Structure:
虽然…但是
The conjunctions “虽然…” “但是…” connect two clauses to form one
complex sentence which will indicate the contrariety relation in the
sentences.
Examples:
1. 虽然小雨很聪明,但是她的成绩不好。
2. 虽然我已经休息过了,但是我还很累。
3. 虽然我知道怎么解决这个问题,但是我不能帮你。
4. 虽然已经是十月了,但是天气还是很热。
5. 虽然我给姐姐一个礼物,但是她还在生我的气。
6. 虽然我的小狗吃过了,但是它还是很饿。
